Amidst an amazing spread of food and wine, teachers, entrepreneurs, and other hard working citizens gathered to voice their concerns about their communities and the lack of response they’ve received from local officials.  Steve listened and responded with a plan to take on overcrowding schools, the tax environment for small businesses, traffic congestion and parking issues.

They raised impeccable questions about the little things like recycling containers, speed bumps, and side walks, which aren’t such little issues to the people who need/want them.  Steve also tackled the bigger issues like pension reform, the need for checks and balances, and rising property tax assessments.

To get out and spend time with people in our district, to be on the front lines hearing from the very people who have the most on the line is an amazing gift.  If 24329 10150108475630227 295396260226 11331024 1800933 n Thank You Laura Foersteryou could open up your home, invite over a few friends from the area, and give Steve the opportunity to hear from them, please let us know.  We’re booking at home parties all the time and as far ahead as September.  Be like Laura who took a chance and helped us kick off an amazing grassroots campaign.

Hand out whistles with ,of course, the correct name on them, right up to the polling places. If people forget everything else they can remember, whistle for Whisler!

Just a thought.

I thought the Arbutus Parade on July 3rd was a very effective way to introduce the various candidates to the captive audience along the route. It was a personal touch to go out into the crowd and pass out signs and stickers, and then to come back on the route with all of the candidates. There was a lot of excitement, lots of visible support from the crowd, and it was a good time. I think we let them know that we are all in this together and it is imperative that we get conservatives back in office in November. If you need me to help with anything, I would love to help.
